Join the Athens GOP as we help reduce your property taxes. Regina Quick will conduct a hands-on workshop for taxpayers. The deadline to file appeals in Athens-Clarke County is JUNE 17. You will be unable to challenge your property tax bill in October if you do not file an appeal from the 2013 assessment. The Georgia Department of Revenue provides form 311A (link here) for this purpose. Assistance and direction will be available to explain the form and tips will be provided to help you gather evidence of fair market value. An overview of the appeal process together with tips for success will be provided. No fee to attend.
