Absentee Voting

CAST YOUR BALLOT EARLY FOR THE UPCOMING ELECTION!

Simply follow the link below to download an application to cast an absentee ballot by mail or in person to avoid the extremely long lines anticipated on election day Tuesday, November 4, 2008! This is better than ADVANCE VOTING which can be done the week preceding the election because lines will be long that entire week.

NO REASON IS REQUIRED TO APPLY FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT - THAT MEANS YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE A REASON WHY YOU WANT AN ABSENTEE BALLOT! AND YOU READ IT RIGHT - THE ABSENTEE BALLOT CAN BE CAST IN PERSON OR BY MAIL. FOR CLARKE COUNTY, THE EARLIEST YOU MAY CAST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IN PERSON IS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2008 DOWNTOWN ON EAST WASHINGTON ST. SEE ADDRESSES AT THE END FOR BOARDS OF ELECTIONS IN ATHENS-CLARKE COUNTY AND OCONEE COUNTY.

You can even use the fax number listed below to send the application TO CAST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT to the board of elections!
To download the state-wide application form to vote absentee click here. THIS IS STATE-WIDE, and may be researched on the web site of the Secretary of State. Our Oconee friends should check the board of elections for Oconee County for details applicable to them.
