TOYS FOR TOTS 

The North Georgia Jaycees is an organization of young professionals in the Athens area who cultivate leaders in the local community through philanthropy and education. The organization's mission and its culture can best be described in its creed: 

We Believe . . . 
That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
That government should be of laws rather than of men;
That earth's great treasure lies in human personality;
And that service to humanity is the best work of life! 

Toys for Tots: Since 2009, the North Georgia Jaycees have partnered with the Marine corps League Detachment 1083 to serve Clarke, Oconee, Madison and Greene Counties for the national Toys for Tots program. Since the Navy School closed, the Jaycees have taken on a larger and larger role each year. This year, 100% of the manpower for all collection, sorting and distribution to partner agencies is the responsibility of the North Georgia Jaycees. At this point, there are 175 toy drop-off sites in this 4 county area and it is anticipated that we will collect and distribute over 19,000 toys to over 8000 local children.
