Roger Fitzpatrick

Roger Fitzpatrick, a life-long resident of White County, is running for Congress as a
Republican in Georgia’s 9th Congressional District. Following high school, he joined
the United States Marine Corps Reserves, where he served for 9 years. Upon being
released from active duty, he came back home and attended Gainesville Jr. College and
The University of Georgia, receiving a bachelor’s degree in education. He furthered
his education, receiving a Masters Degree from North Georgia College and a Specialist
Degree from The University of Georgia.

He began his teaching career in 1984 and remained in the classroom for 14 years. The
last 14 years have been spent in leadership positions, and he is currently serving as
principal at Mossy Creek Elementary. He will be retiring at the end of this school year.

“I am running for Congress because I love this country, and I see it going in the wrong
direction. I want to play a role in turning this great country around and making it greater
than it’s ever been. We have so many issues facing us, and we need to deal with them
head-on. I do not want our children and grandchildren bearing the ever-increasing burden
created by the foolish decisions of our leaders. I want to be part of the solution that
returns this nation to the foundational truths upon which it was established.”

Roger and his wife Linda, who is a Christian author, have been married 26 years and
have two sons. Ryan Hulsey is married to Ginger Vandiver Hulsey, and they have a
daughter named Avery. Their other son, Zach Hulsey has a son named Cameron. They
attend church at Fellowship of Living Praise in Clermont.
