Great first Hispanic Alliance meeting!

The Athens GOP Hispanic Alliance had a great first meeting on Saturday.  We covered a wide range of topics regarding the college application process.  Special thanks to Whitney Wilson, Amanda Kussmaul, Karen Schwind and Eric Pansen for being our guest speakers.  Our next meeting will be on February 18th.

SAT Information from Amanda Kussmaul

What specifically does the SAT test?  There are 3 SAT sections–Math, Critical Reading, and Writing. The Writing section includes an essay that is not optional. From start to finish, the test will take 3 hours and 45 minutes.
Most students take the SAT during the spring of their junior year of high school. Many students choose to take the SAT a second time in the fall of their senior year after becoming familiar with the test day experience.
